SSD migration

Move Windows without giving up your way back.

A successful clone is more than a copy button. Capacity, encryption, partition layout, boot mode, and verification all matter.

Before you begin

Create a separate backup of irreplaceable files before cloning. Do not erase the original drive until the new SSD has booted and your files have been checked.

A safer sequence

Work through the problem in order.

01

Prepare

Check used space, drive health, BitLocker status, connectors, and recovery media.

02

Clone

Select the source and destination carefully, then avoid interrupting power during the copy.

03

Verify

Boot from the new SSD, inspect partitions and files, and keep the original untouched for a rollback window.
